Turkey Announces the Upcoming Expiration of the Anti-Dumping Case on Polyester Staple Fiber in the Taiwan Region

On February 1, 2024, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2024/6 stating that the anti-dumping measure on polyester staple fibers from Taiwan, India and Thailand will expire on August 4, 2024 and that Turkish domestic producers may apply for a sunset review investigation before the expiration of the measure. Turkish domestic producers can apply for a sunset review investigation before the expiration of the measure. The products in question are subject to Turkish tariff number 5503.20.00.00.00.

On April 26, 2002, Turkey initiated anti-dumping investigation on polyester staple fibers (polyester staple fibers) originating from Taiwan, India and Thailand, and on August 4, 2019, the Ministry of Trade of Turkey issued Announcement No. 2019/26, which made the third anti-dumping final decision on the sunset review of the case, and maintained the anti-dumping duties on the products in question from Taiwan, India and Thailand, with the rates of 6.4% to 12.0% and 6.4% to 12.0% respectively. 6.4% to 12.0%, 8.5% to 12.0% and 12.0% respectively.
